There is a new version of the Countryside code just released – search for countryside-code on the Government website. This has been issued by Natural England and the picture attached shows what vehicles and pedestrian powered vehicles are allowed on footpaths, Bridleways, Restricted Byways and Byways open to all traffic. Check the coloured arrows to indicate what is allowed. We have recently had a number of complaints of motorbikes using Bridleways and Restricted Byways which is a traffic offence. We have written to organised trails groups to make sure they know which Byways open to all can be used. Many thanks PC 2201 Nick Westmacott
