Streets around the Abbey grounds and Spitalgate area of Cirencester have experienced flooding and there are possibilities that around 70 homes will lose power this evening. Residents are advised not to leave their homes unless they are sure it is safe to do so. Anyone who is unable to remain safely in their homes should stay with family or friends if they can, this will not breach Covid 19 restrictions as it is an emergency situation. Residents who cannot arrange their own alternative accommodation and need to leave their home due to flooding and power failures can get help from the Council by telephoning 01513 432942.
