Police have received reports of a phone scam where the caller is saying they are calling from BT. This is a new phone scam. The caller states that outstanding charges are owed. If BT have any request for outstanding payments they will send their customers a letter which can be verified. Never disclose personal details over the phone and never give your bank and card details. With Christmas just around the corner fraudsters will be trying to gain money in theses types of calls.
