Since the lockdown restrictions came into place we have seen a steep increase in dog/dog and dog/person attacks. We know that due to people walking more than they normally would they are more likely to come into contact with others who are doing the same.It is our duty to reiterate to dog owners that unless your dog has ‘very’ good recall you are to keep your dog on a lead at all times, whether on; public roads, parks, foot paths, bridleways or fields. A dog doesn’t need to bite someone to be deemed ‘out of control’ and it is enough that if someone feels threatened by your dog, action may be taken against you.
