We have been out today using the 4 E’s approach. Engage, Explain, Encourage and a last resort to enforce. We have found a lot of day trippers out from as far away as London, Shrewsbury, Sussex, Oxford and Swindon. The legislation recommendations are : to spend time or exercise outdoors – this should be done locally wherever possible, but you can travel to do so if necessary (for example, to access an open space). The emphasis is on staying local. We have encouraged all those found that have travelled a great distance to go home and exercise in a local area.
