Phishing/Scam E Mails
Recently there have been a rash of phishing/scam e mails where the victim receives an e mail with an old password in the subject line and a demand for money in the form of bitcoin with a threat to publish recordings of what is alleged that you have been viewing on line.
Action Fraud confirms that they have received over 9000 reports of these “sextortion” emails in April. See the following link to their page below for more information:

Action Fraud are now advising that people receiving these emails (where there is no financial loss) should forward them to report@phishing.gov.uk and then delete them. The emails are being investigated by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). Like us, the NCSC are focusing on a PROTECT response. They are identifying the sources of the emails, and shutting them down. The initiative was launched on 21/04/20 and the NCSC removed 395 phishing sites within the first week.
If you receive such an email please report it to the Police using the below contact details, forward it to the above link and then delete it.
Please let me know if you have any problems.
This is the end of the message and Please Stay Safe.
